ABOUT US
The Church of the Covenant Preschool believes that each child is a unique person created by God who will grow in his or her special way. We seek to provide an informal learning environment, the kinds of experience and activities that will contribute to each child’s cognitive, physical, social, emotional and spiritual growth.
We want the children to feel loved and appreciated for who they are. We encourage them to learn to live, work and play cooperatively in a comfortable social setting. Through the use of stimulating materials, :hands on” experiences, opportunities for making choices, speaking and asking questions, interacting with adults and peers and freedom of creative expression, the children will explore and discover their world.
By learning to care for their own physical needs and developing their bodies with good nutrition, proper rest, and exercise, we hope to foster an appreciation for health. In all these ways, we will endeavor to ensure that each child has a feeling of self-worth as special and loved child of God.

MISS Lindsay
ASSISTANT TEACHER
My name is Lindsay and most of my friends and family call me Linny. I’m 37 and I grew up in Peters Township. I met my husband in 2006 and we have been living happily ever after since. We lived in South Park for 11 years and moved to Washington 4 years ago. I worked in the healthcare field for 12+ years and I truly loved caring for others. My son Easton was born in 2017 and I was fortunate to be a stay at home mom for 4 years. The best years of my life! I’ve also loved art since I was very young and for me, its my creative outlet. I started my own little photography business as a hobby and I really enjoy creating memories and capturing important moments in people’s lives. My son started his first year of preschool last year and it was an amazing experience for us all. He has grown so much and his confidence has skyrocketed. He genuinely loved school, his classmates and of course his teachers. I am beyond grateful. And because of them being so fantastic, my son is ready and thrilled to be starting kindergarten this fall. I am so excited to be on board and be able to help another preschool do the same! I’m looking forward to helping your little one express themselves and grow creatively during their time here at Preschool!

MEET THE STAFF
MISS HOPE
ASSISTANT TEACHER
I have lived in the Washington area pretty much all of my life. I graduated from West Penn School of Nursing and have an associates degree from Clarion University. Prior to working at the preschool, I have been a Stay- at- Home momma to my 5 babies. I absolutely love children pretty much everything about them. One of my main focuses at the Preschool will be arts and crafts, which is something I enjoy very much. Not only do children love to do crafts but it allows them the opportunity to show their uniqueness and be proud of the things that they create. Some of the things I enjoy are doing crafts, traveling and admiring God’s handy work, but most of all my five children; they are my heart and soul.

LEAD TEACHER
Miss Tamra is beyond thrilled to have the opportunity to be the Lead Teacher in a 3s and 4s classroom and to continue to be a part of the Church of the Covenant Preschool family.
“Both of my children attended Chruch of the Covenant Preschool. I remember being very nervous to send my first child off to preschool, as I think most parents are. I quickly noticed how Miss Camille and all the people that are part of the preschool work really hard to make the preschool experience for both the children and their families a wonderful one filled with lots of love, laughter , and learning. When I was provided with the opportunity to share in this experience for other families I jumped at the chance. I feel like they were both so prepared for big kid school.”
Miss Tamra lives in her hometown of Chartiers Houston with her husband Kevin and their son, Lincoln and daughter, Lennox. She graduated from Waynesburg University in 2005 with a degree in elementary education. She taught elementary education for 13 years and also volunteers her time in various youth sports that her children are involved in. MISS LINDA
LEAD TEACHER
Miss Linda is honored to be teaching at The Church of the Covenant Preschool since 2005. She began as a substitute, then assistant teacher in the Transition as well as teaching 3 and 4 year old classes, before becoming the lead T-class Lead Teacher in 2010. In the fall of 2019, she returned to the younger classes and is now teaching the 3 and 4 year old classes full time.
Miss Linda’s sincere love for the preschool goes far deeper than just years of teaching. Like many of the teachers here, her own children attended Churc of the Covenant Preschool. The 3 and 4 year old classes will prepared them both academically and socially for the challenges of big school. Julianna also had the great priviledge of attending the Transition Class. Deciding between Kindergarten and a Transitional Class is one of the toughest decisions to make as a parent. Miss Linda feels that the T-class is the best gift you can give your child. The gift of time…. to grow, mature, learn at their own pace, and time to still be “little”. She still loves seeing this gift of time given to each child who attends the T class. It is truly the gift which keeps on giving as you witness the many successes throughout their education and all through their lives!
Miss Linda obtained her teaching degree from California University of Pa in Art Education and has substituted in local schools as well as taught art at a christian school. She spent some time as an activities director with the elderly before starting her family. Originally from Canonsburg, she lives in Washington with her husband John of 27 years and shih-tzu, Oreo. She has two daughters. Julianna recently got married and “Mrs. Wheatley” is now teaching Kindergarten at Claysville Elementary in McGuffey School District. Jenna is a junior animation and fine arts major at Columbus College of Art Design. Their early years at Church of the Covenant definitely gave them strong roots to help them develop into who they are today.
Miss LInda loves sewing and crafts (she worked at JoAnn Fabrics part time for 25 years!), the theater, all things Disney and bringing magic to area children through her character party business Royal Princess Engagements. Most of all, she looks forward to bringing joy, love and happiness to each of the little ones in her class as she watches them learn, play, and grow in God’s love Everyday!
